Tatsuhiko Asano was born in the Gifu Prefecture of Japan in 1966. He picked up a guitar at 14, and started to work on home recordings. At the age of 16 he joined the brass band and learned pecussion. He moved to Tokyo at the age of 21 in order to study at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. As he majored in painting, he begins to actively play in bands and do multiple recordings on cassette MTRs.
